Smack dab in the middle of the old town core, City Palace of Jaipur plays home to a royal residence and blends a fusion of architectural styles. Explore the expansive palace complex, built with distinctive pink sandstone and white accents, to see its intricate network of verandas, courtyards, meeting halls, and other rooms. You'll see elements of classic Indian, Mughal, European, and local Rajput construction techniques throughout, a result of the many additions to the palace since its origins in the late 1720s. Don't miss popping into the art gallery inside the public audience hall, as it features an array of centuries-old scriptures and other works of art from the region. Alternatively, visit the armory for a look at one of the nation's finest collections of historic weaponry. Situated in the middle of the hustle bustle of the old city, this palace is a must visit in Jaipur. One needs at least 2 hours just to look around. Part of this heritage property still houses the royals and is not opened for public obviously. There are interesting museums in the palace, one displays garments of the royals and the other weapons. There are also two shops inside Entrance is charged at 140₹ as far as I remember. Its a beautiful serene palace and a must visit.

Highly recommend seeing the palace inside. It is expensive but worth seeing all the floors. Beautifully maintained palace where the royal family still resides. We had a tour guide with us who had interesting stories to share on the family and the architecture. They also serve you light refreshments as part of the package.
