Enjoy a heady holiday in Blenheim, the most populous town in the wine-growing region of Marlborough.Get in touch with nature at Queen Charlotte Track and Sounds Air. Explore Blenheim's surroundings by going to Picton (Marlborough Sounds, Seaside Gems, & more), Seddon (Barewood Garden, Awatere River Bridge, & more) and Havelock (Kayaking & Canoeing, Shark Nett Gallery, & more). Dedicate the 1st (Sun) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. On the 18th (Wed), spend a day of history-infused exploration at Cape Campbell Track. There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre, learn about winemaking at Villa Maria Estate Marlborough Winery, tour the pleasant surroundings at Pollard Park, and enjoy the sand and surf at Whites Bay.

Auckland Central to Blenheim is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of car and ferry. Traveling from Auckland Central in June, plan for slightly colder nights in Blenheim, with lows around 9°C. On the 30th (Mon), you're off tohome.
